Our history

STC is built on a family tradition of engineering powerful and reliable machines. What started in Coevorden has grown into a global force in demolition, civil engineering, and transshipment solutions. Our story is one of innovation, craftsmanship, and enduring quality.

STC’s story began in 2004, when the company took over the production plant in Coevorden and started modifying heavy machinery. Just two years later, STC delivered its first 160-ton demolition machine, based on a Hitachi 870 with an impressive 48-meter reach.

In the following years, the company continued to innovate developing multiple 160-ton models with interchangeable configurations and expanding into long reach and industrial demolition solutions.

By 2012, STC had broadened its expertise to civil engineering, introducing a modified Hitachi 870 with enhanced performance. A year later, the first Beelen demolition machine was built: a CAT 385 with a triple front, designed for both land and underwater work.

After 2015, STC became a trusted name for CAT 336 and 352 demolition machines, stepping in after CAT ended its own production. Today, STC continues to build on its legacy of innovation, precision, and power shaping the future of heavy demolition equipment.

2016

In 2016, STC introduced its first CAT 6015B long reach machine a powerful step forward in reach and performance, showcasing the company’s continued drive to push the limits of heavy equipment engineering.

In 2018, STC engineered a Liebherr 984 built for demolition both above and below water, reaching an impressive 200 tons.

The following year, in 2019, the team developed the first KMC 1200 for KTEG, featuring a completely new chassis, swing bearing, and carbody, with a total weight of 180 tons.

By 2021, STC delivered its first custom-built sheet piling machine for Sterk a remarkably compact powerhouse for its class, weighing 68 tons.

The innovation continued in 2022 with the largest demolition machine ever built by STC, a 300-ton giant for Adex with multiple configurations and a fully custom-designed steel structure.

In 2024, STC took its engineering excellence even further, building two STC HD 260C units for rock placement 36 meters below sea level, each weighing 300 tons.

Looking ahead to 2025, STC proudly operates as part of TTS Technologies, within the Synologies group. Through strategic partnerships with industry leaders such as BOA Recycling and Bauhuis, STC continues to combine expertise, optimize processes, and ensure consistent worldwide quality and delivery reinforcing its position as a trusted innovator in heavy machinery engineering.
